Grants in the Community

The San Ramon Valley Education Foundation supports and promotes education in our community in partnership with the San Ramon Valley Unified School District. Our goals include:
  • To provide funds and support to enhance and enrich the education of our youth.
  • To be a conduit between the community and the school district allowing people to make financial contributions toward education.
  • To inform the community (businesses, residents, parents, etc.) about the educational needs of our youth and community.
  • To responsibly distribute the funds received to enhance and enrich the education of our youth.
Grant Types
For 2012, the SRVEF is separating the grants into 2 types:
  • Micro Grants: Up to $1,500 to benefit students in SRVUSD. These applications may come from anyone in the SRVUSD community to support educational program or discipline.
  • Major Grants: Up to $10,000 school/district macro grants that match one or more of the SRVEF target causes:
    • Literacy
    • Professional Development
    • Technology in the Classroom
    • STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics)
    • Arts and Music
Major grants will require a short presentation to the SRVEF Board.
