Since 1982 the San Ramon Valley Education Foundation (SRVEF) has provided
valuable, consistent, and reliable support for the schools in the San
Ramon Valley Unified School District. Every year the foundation returns
the vast majority of their fundraising proceeds directly to the schools
and classrooms in our district. Most impressively, they have always
risen to help meet critical needs such as their past funding of libraries
and their current funding of the "You Never Win With Violence"
program in the middle schools and the Advancement Via Individual Determination
(AVID) in the high schools. The Foundation works closely with district
staff to ensure that fundraising priorities match the district's Strategic
Plan and annual goals.
The
SRVEF is a key organization in our community that makes education a
priority, builds pride and support for schools and brings the rest of
the community into the educational process. The purpose of the Foundation
is to generate funds for district-wide use. Every year they make a positive
impact via grants directly to teachers in the classrooms in every school
in our district. The Foundation's actions have proven they are dedicated
to enhancing and continuing the excellent education our children are
receiving.
The
SRVEF deserves the full financial support of all residents in our community.
Whether you have school age children or not, the community will benefit
from the stronger education system resulting from the Foundation's efforts.
Local
education foundations such as the SRVEF support excellence in public
schools at the community level. They provide, through their many fundraising
efforts, the ability for every member of our community to make a significant,
meaningful and positive impact on education. Without the support of
many individuals and corporations, the Foundation's accomplishments
would not be possible.
Education
of our children is the best investment our society can make for the
future. Please join me in my support of the San Ramon Valley Education
Foundation by getting involved in one of their fundraising efforts.
The 21,000 students in our district thank you for your support.
Sincerely,
Rob
