The San Ramon Valley Education Foundation initially started a small endowment through a number of gifts given in memory of past District teachers and SRVEF Board members. Since 2001, the Endowment Committee of the Board has embarked on a strong campaign to increase the assets of the endowment with a goal of achieving $1 million in assets by 2007. As of April 2006, the endowment fund has just under $500,000 in assets.
