Annual Dinner
Extraordinary cuisine, wines, and friendship make the Annual Dinner an event that no one wants to miss! The Annual Dinner honors someone who has worked with exceptional dedication to benefit the students of the San Ramon Valley.
This year, the San Ramon Valley Education Foundation is proud to honor John Tatum and the San Ramon Rotary at this year's Annual Dinner held at Bridges Restaurant in Danville on April 26, 2010. Hors d' oeuvres at 6:00 p.m., Dinner at 7:15 p.m. Bridges Restaurant and Bar is located at 44 Church Street, Danville.
Over the past 18 years, John Tatum and the San Ramon Rotary Club have donated more money to the San Ramon Valley Education Foundation than any other individual or group in our community. Together they have donated over $750,000 from the San Ramon Rotary Christmas Tree Lot. The volunteer hours that John and the Rotary have put into the Christmas Tree Lot are untold. It is a mammoth undertaking that has reaped huge rewards for our teachers and students.
John, a committed community volunteer, has been a member of the San Ramon Rotary for 23 years and in addition served as a Mustang Soccer Coach for 8 years and Little League Coach for 6 years.
As president of Pioneer Packaging, CEO of Heritage Paper and part owner of Cal Sheets, he is an exemplary corporate citizen whose dedication to quality education in the San Ramon Valley has been demonstrated by his founding, organization and management of the San Ramon Rotary Christmas Tree lot for the past 18 years.
A devoted family man, John is married to Linda C. Tatum and is the proud father of four adult children: Ashley Hodapp, Kim Brodie, Michael Tatum and Kelly Prenger.
John is a graduate of Princeton University and earned an MBA from University of Virginia.
We are proud to honor John Tatum and the San Ramon Rotary this year.
Past honorees include Jack Rhodes (2006) and Dennis Harvey (2007) who started the Primo's race in 1983; Rob Kessler (2008), superintendent of the SRVUSD for 13 years of tremendous improvement in the level of educational achievement for our students; Joan Buchanan (2009), who served on the San Ramon Valley School Board for 18 years.
The Annual Dinner is a terrific opportunity to connect with friends
and other community members who share in the celebration of the
immeasurable value of providing a quality education for all students.
